Eastbourne Electric Car Club, established in 197X has a large tarmac track for touring car racing and winter indoor circuit racing various 1/10th scale models.
Our purpose built outdoor track was opened in 2007 and has played host to the STCC, SLCC and BTCC championships in addition to the club's annual open day which often attracts some of the greatest racers in the country.
The club was founded in 197X racing buggies and during the 1980s achieved a reputation for hosting top class regional buggy championships. Many of those early members have stayed with the club and now enjoy racing in the same familiar surroundings whilst competing in scale saloon touring car racing within a relaxed, welcoming, environment which is family friendly, yet at the same time offering top quality competition for drivers young and old who often compete on the club's behalf at regional or national championship races.
For those new to the hobby, or returning after a break, the club runs a fleet of loan cars allowing you to compete with other drivers without the initial outlay for a new car. At the other end of the spectrum our investment in the latest timing equipment allows you to monitor your lap times to hundredths of a second and compare your times with every other racer within the club or your chosen championship.
Within this website you will find details of the club's track locations, local information, club championship standings and details of visiting championships.
Our active forum allows members and non-members alike to discuss all aspects of racing and indeed many aspects off the track as well.
If you are unable to find any information relating to the club or hobby, please contact us or look in the forums - the chances are that someone has already been there before you and will be willing to help.
The club is also available for any media enquiries; please contact us for details. |
